Founded in 1910 by Mr. Salem Abdulrahman Bajarsh in Hadramout, the company initially focused on the import and export of foodstuffs and marine products. As the business evolved, it expanded its operations and diversified its portfolio, leading to the establishment of Sabson Group. Today, the group offers a wide range of services across various sectors, including food and steel manufacturing, real estate investments, oil and gas sector, and Automobiles sector.
1962
In the energy sector, Salem Abdulrahman Bajarsh embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 1962 by co-investing in the National Electricity Company in Al-Shahir, Hadramout. Through strategic growth initiatives, the company has successfully expanded its electricity services to additional cities across Yemen.
2008
In 2008, the Sabson Group launched a dedicated branch specializing in energy, establishing Sabson Energy to strengthen its foothold in this vital sector. Since its inception, Sabson Energy has experienced significant growth, expanding its offerings beyond electricity services to include comprehensive technical and management solutions for power plant projects and grid supply services. The company has also diversified into the oil and gas sector. Through strategic development, Sabson Energy has broadened its geographical reach, now serving various regions within Yemen and extending its presence to select countries in the Middle East and Africa.
